About

The aim of the event is to bring together researchers from a wide variety of backgrounds who are concerned with the mathematics of shape generation in the framework of architecture and structural design. These two fields have indeed undergone major developments thanks to discrete differential geometry and integrable systems. At the heart of the subject is the discretisation of shapes, their resulting constructional and mechanical properties as well as the methods for deforming these shapes conserving these properties. Topics of particular interest are: the discretization of surfaces by quad planes with remarkable features, their kinematic or mechanical rigidity, shape duality in all its forms,  to name of few.

Plenary talks

Plenary talks will be delivered by distinguished expert leaders in the field and serve as a focal point for the event. Plenary talks aim to provide attendees with valuable insights, provoke thought, and set the tone for the school by covering important topics, sharing groundbreaking research, or offering a unique perspective on the subject matter.

Mini-courses

Mini-courses offer focused, in-depth training in specific subjects. They are perfect for students looking to acquire specialized skills, gain expertise in a niche, or explore a specific aspect of a broader field. Our programs provide a structured curriculum, allowing participants to dive deep into the subject with guidance from internationally recognized experts.

Working spaces

Some spaces have been reserved to promote discussion and collaborations between participants and/or local researchers. These will foster learning, creativity, and camaraderie among participants.

Do you want to join us?

We have prepared for you mini-courses, plenary talks, and model-making session.
